Inspiration

I cleaned my counter top last weekend and found the pile of magazines I have been saving because they inspire me in one way or another. I took a few minutes to scan them in to share with you.

Enjoy!

Just think this is kind of cool - love the words and the message.

Just think think is beautiful - so light and airy and springy.

Taken from Garnet Hill.

This reminded me of all the silhouettes that have been appearing in scrapbook products lately.

An American Cancer Society advertisement taken from Cooking Light.
Love the design in these:

Kleenex ad torn from Cooking Light

The cover of a Talbot's catalog that I have held on to for more than a month.

Wasn't sure whether to put this in the "design" or "color" section of the post. In the end, I decided on design because it's the placement of the shapes that really appeals to me. Taken from the Garnet Hill catalog cover.

Love the color in these:

What is inspiring you lately?

Inspiration

I usually am not inspired by design in magazines or ads, but lately I have been collecting a little pile of designs that I really like.

For your viewing pleasure. . . a little holiday inspiration. First, a few things left-over from Thanksgiving flyers.

This cover was the inspiration for my own Thanksgiving place cards. Thank you for bringing some fun to our table, Paper Source.

Just love the way this cover is set up - love all the different types of pies in similar colors, too. Once again, Martha is totally brilliant.

Boden catalog cover from about a month ago. Love the different sized and patterned buttons.

Garnet Hill catalog cover from a few weeks ago. Love the different shaped boxes.

I'm always intrigued by the back cover of Cook's Illustrated. This month was no exception.
