Meal Plan # 7: Mad Men Dinner Party

I'm traveling for work from what seems like now until the end of time.

Only meal I'm cooking this week is for a Mad Men premiere party. I'm thinking nothing would excite the ad men (and their women) quite like a fondue party.

Spinach Artichoke Cheese Fondue
Shrimp and Steak cooked in Coq au Vin
(with spicy cocktail sauce and gorgonzola port dipping sauce)
Orange Chocolate Fondue

Moscow Mule
Sloe Gin Fizz

Fall Television Schedule

Fall is in the air. I know this because of the pumpkin spice lattes and waking up with cold feet in the morning. I love fall.

I love the return of "real" television.

Here is my Fall 2010 line-up.

Monday:

Wednesday:

9pm: Law and Order: Los Angeles (NBC)

Thursday:
8pm: Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
9pm: Private Practice (ABC)

Friday:
NOTHING

Saturday:
NOTHING

Sunday:
7pm: Boardwalk Empire (HBO)
9pm: Mad Men (AMC)

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do about the Wednesday night DVR conflicts. Apparently, Friday and Saturday nights will be my nights to get caught up on recorded shows.

And, then there's shows like Weeds and Friday Night Lights. I don't get the right channels to watch those.  Bummer.

Also, can you think of anything I missed?

Summer Television

In case you wonder what I do in the summer. . . it's pretty much the same as what I do the rest of the year - except the shows are different. I watch too much television.

 I don't care much for the parts about football, but I do really love the rest of it.

And, TV on DVD. . .
Just got caught up on Big Love.
And have watched (and loved!) every episode of every season of How I Met Your Mother.
Have given up on Lost and Deadwood.
Am getting ready to start Glee.
